Wedding {Dress} Wednesday

Now one of our favorite parts of wedding planning, THE DRESS!

This week we will be posting some of our favorite ball gown style dresses in all price ranges.

This first dress is by a Michigan based couture designer whose spring 2015 line just hit the runway  for New York Bridal Fashion Week, Katerina Bocci. Made in Michigan, Katerina Bocci’s gowns are designed, sewn and produced at her 3,200-square-foot design studio located in Shelby Township. The haute couture designer personally oversees the production of each and every gown to ensure the utmost quality. Katerina Bocci bridal gowns start at $2,500.

This dress is “Lourdes” and features a full ball gown skirt with lace overlay. the bodice is adorned with crystals and pearls.  If satin and tulle are more of your wedding style, you should be sure to check out this Lazaro design. This dress features tulle ball bridal gown, pleated silk satin organza bodice with sweetheart neckline, floral jewel encrusted band at natural waist, circular gathered skirt, chapel train. {Style # LZ3108}. This dress is priced a little on the high side around $5,000 {depends on the salon

This next dress is by the well-known wedding dress company Pronovias. “Basira” is from the 2015 Glamour collection and is a tulle, princess dress with lace and floral embroidered appliqués. Bodice with sweetheart neckline and narrow grosgrain belt with bow in the center.

As “Basira” is from the 2015 collection, it may not be in stores yet. And don’t deny it, you know you have watched at least one episode of “Say Yes to the Dress” {we’ve seen every season} and have fallen in love with their well-known designer Pnina Tornai {we are OBSESSED with her}. Over the top, embellished, and amazing all describe her gowns. Unfortunately Pnina Tornai is only sold at Kleinfeld. So just for fun, below is a Pnina dress {Style # 4273}.


And for our last gown, we are picking a celebrity favorite of the week. Amal Clooney who married George Clooney just a few weeks ago in Italy. Amal’s gown was designed by Oscar de la Renta, who unfortunately passed away this past Monday October 20th from complications due to cancer. He was a legend in fashion and will truly be missed, but his work will continue to inspire designers for years to come.
